New Church Bell Installation
On November 12, 2024, a significant event took place at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Neermarga: the installation of a new church bell, weighing 400 kilograms. Following the Mass at 5:15 pm, the bell was blessed by the vicar, Fr Paul Pinto, invoking divine blessings upon the dedicated individuals who contributed to its installation, particularly the generous donors and the bellfounders as well.
Even in our modern era, where advanced communication technologies have revolutionized the way we connect, the church bell continues to hold a special place in the hearts of communities. Its resonant sound, echoing through the crests and valleys and neighborhoods, serves as a timeless reminder of faith, hope, and unity.
Our parish, spread across sixteen wards, has a unique bond with the church bell. Its chiming sound, whether announcing joyous occasions, urgent warnings, or solemn moments of mourning, has been an integral part of our lives for generations. The bell’s call resonates through our homes, inviting us to gather in prayer, share in communal celebrations, or reflect on life's deeper meanings.
