SCC Traning for Children
'Small Christian Community' training for our children from class 4th to PUC held on 8th December at St.Ligoury’s school hall of St Joseph the worker church, Neermarga.
The program commenced with a prayer song followed by enthronement of the Bible in procession by the nominated children.
The Central Small Christian Community Secretary, Mrs. Shabitha Saldanha, ushered the guests of honor to the stage: Vicar Fr. Paul Pinto, Resource person Fr. Gilbert D’Souza, Parish Pastoral Council vice president Mr. Sandeep Misquith, Secretary Mrs. Zita Usha Fernandes, Mrs. Asha Monteiro Secretary SCC of Mangalore Diocese and Mrs. Benedicta Machado our Catechism Coordinator
Parish priest Fr. Paul Pinto in his message said that “A Small Christian Community thrives on sharing the experience of the living Christ with one another. “
The resource person Fr. Gilbert D'Souza stated that “Sharing the good news of BIBLE essentially involves sharing our personal experiences with others.”
Then the deeper study on 7 step Gospel sharing method was held.
Mrs.Asha Monteiro, SCC Secretary Mangalore Diocese, sang/taught a few songs on 'Small Christian community'.
Preston Saldanha welcomed the gathering, Shabitha Saldanha compered the program and Evita D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
Total 165 members including catechism teachers participated in this training session.
The training concluded with the sumptuous food.
